Every language is a world. Without translation, we would inhabit parishes bordering on silence.
George Steiner
Yolanda Georgiou, Greek native certified translator and EU-accredited conference interpreter working with English, French, German and Spanish.
I have been working as a language professional since 2002 and I have developed expertise in translation and interpreting services for the medical-pharmaceutical sector. Furthermore, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in translating legal texts and topics falling in the broader field of Public Administration and the European Union.
After completing my master’s degree in Conference Interpreting from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, I received my accreditation in conference interpreting from the institutions of the European Union (European Commission, European Parliament, Court of Justice of the European Union) in 2005.
My involvement and specialisation in medical translation and interpreting, particularly in the field of perinatal and reproductive health, stems from my training and certification as a maternity and postnatal care assistant (doula).
High quality and continuous improvement are the core values that have been guiding me throughout my professional career. Whether individuals, companies or organisations, I always strive to establish client relations based on trust and maintain a personal communication with everyone.
It is very important for my customers to feel safe and confident that they will receive comprehensive and top-quality services, knowing their needs and expectations will be met, regardless of the size or complexity of the assigned project. My knowledge and certifications in translation and interpretation, as well as my many years of experience in consulting my clients, guarantee the full coverage of their needs and expectations, regardless of the size or complexity of the project assigned to me.
My team, which consists of experienced and highly qualified colleagues, is always at the client’s disposal, ready to undertake and carry out any project with consistency, reliability and discretion at every stage of its implementation, from the very first contact to its final delivery.
In addition to providing high-quality services, this network has also been created with a view to helping the customer save money and time, thanks to our one-stop-shop approach.

And this world is so different, interesting, enriched with the meaning of the words the speaker has used, and I am invited to reinterpret it, as much as possible, in another language.
When I translate or interpret from or into a foreign language, I feel that I enable different worlds to communicate, to understand each other, to cooperate, to connect, to relate. Communication barriers are removed and mutual understanding is fostered. All this makes it possible to create a relationship and avoid conflict because of misunderstandings or inappropriate interpretation.
I dream of a world where health, well-being, quality of life and longevity are self-evident for all people without exclusion. Where everyone will have access to the latest medicines, high quality diagnostic tests and treatments without language barriers. Where doctors can easily keep up to date with the latest developments in their specialty. Where the provision of medical care to patients from other countries will be a simple, everyday process.
As a woman and mother of four girls, I am committed to supporting, informing and emotionally empowering expatriate pregnant women and new mothers who live in an environment where their native language is not used.
The purpose of the services I provide is to ensure that these women can receive the best possible care and attention during the sensitive period of pregnancy and childbirth, supported by qualified interpreters who will be able to facilitate their communication with the medical staff demonstrating a high level of sensitivity, empathy, respect and knowledge.
